Aerial Target Simulator


Developed 6-DOF flight simulator for up to three stage solid propellant aerial targets leveraging MATLAB and FORTRAN. Included subsonic, transonic, and supersonic drag in solution as well as wind and earth rotation perturbations. Validated simulation against well respected single stage industry standard simulator and compared against flight data. Simulated both uncontrolled aerial target flight and leveraged tool in architecture design of stage and trajectory optimized 3-stage aerial take-off small satellite launch vehicle.
